FIFA chief salutes new FAZ President

In a congratulatory message to Bwalya, the FIFA boss said Bwalya had in front of him a complex but exciting task to help Zambian football reach new heights and to retain the international recognition it deserves.
“In that,” Blatter wrote. "you can rely on my support and on FIFA assistance".
In a letter copied to CAF President Issa Hayatou Blatter said: "Dear friend, on the occasion of your very clear first-ballot election to the presidency of the Football Association of Zambia during its Elective General Assembly held in Lusaka on 29 March, I would like to extend to you my deepest congratulations as well as my best wishes of success at the helm of Zambian football for the next four years. Your incredible experience as a player who played all around the world, as a coach of the national team and as a FAZ vice president, represents an amazing asset for the achievement of your new mission and the fulfillment of the dreams of millions of football lovers in Zambia."
"You can rely on my support and on FIFA assistance. Looking forward to discussing with you your projects for the future and to seeing you again soon," the FIFA boss said.
Bwalya beat incumbent Teddy Mulonga and Lusaka Dynamos FC owner Hanif Adams to win the Presidency.
In a landslide win, Bwalya polled 120 votes against 66 for Mulonga and 11 for Adams.
Since his election, Bwalya has been inundated with congratulatory and goodwill messages from across the country, region and global football family.
